Even as a clinically-licensed therapist and former child forensic interviewer, my own daughter’s questions still stump me sometimes. 😊 After nearly 20 years of helping kids feel safe enough to ask hard questions and confident enough to find their voice, I’ve learned that no parent is expected to have all the answers… and that’s exactly why Girls Club exists.
My experience has shown me just how powerful it is when girls receive honest, age-appropriate education so shame is replaced with knowledge, and confusion can become confidence. When that happens, girls learn that their bodies are something to understand, appreciate, and celebrate!
Girls Club of Overland Park is a fun, welcoming space where girls build confidence, learn about their changing bodies, ask questions without embarrassment, and discover the power of being surrounded by other amazing girls. My goal is a simple one: to help girls grow up informed and empowered.
While my chapter is based in Overland Park, I happily travel throughout the Kansas City metro for parents, schools, organizations, and community groups who are passionate about giving girls the very best education on these important topics.
