Welcome to Girls Club of Vermont (GCVT)! We are so glad you’re here!
GCVT is thrilled to work with girls across our brave little state. Together, we can support girls to better understand their changing bodies, to build self-confidence, and to grow their sense of community and connection.
GCVT is run by Ali Hartman, a Girls Club certified teacher and lifelong advocate for the rights and well-being of girls. Ali began her work in this space when she was a girl herself. After a formative early experience at 15, she became a teen sexual health educator and an HIV/AIDS activist. She continued her work in reproductive health, education, and access, while also expanding her focus to include advocacy, policy, and legal rights of girls and women. She has now worked on behalf of girls in some capacity for more than three decades. Whether as a field researcher in Ecuador focused on child labor, a full-spectrum doula in New York City, a board member for the national nonprofit Children’s Rights, or a coach at Girls on the Run, Ali is deeply committed to building a world that is good for girls. She is thrilled to offer Girls Club in Vermont and is committed to bringing age-appropriate and empowering education to our girls.
